Project beneficiaries

The project beneficiaries are women politicians (from grassroots to parliament), media personnel, policy and decision makers, security personnel, women/ human rights activists, academicians, legal practitioners and other actors concerned with democratic development.

This project intends to address the issue of marginalization of women in politics by mobilizing women politicians, media personnel, academicians, gender activists, security personnel and lawyers from local to national levels, by sharing knowledge and information on gender sensitive democratic cultures and practices, by sensitizing media to break the gender stereotypes in the mindset of people, and by collaborating and networking with national and regional organizations/individuals for collective agendas and actions. Based on the past experience and collective strengths of SAP system, SAP Bangladesh, SAP Nepal and SAP Pakistan will be the project partners to implement project activities in Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan respectively.
